Colour combo week 4: painted harvest

This weeks challenge is with the following colours

Grapefruit grove
Real red
Night of navy

As always any neutral colour can be added, so I’ve used mossy meadow for the leaves.

This colour combination lead me to reach for my painted harvest stamp set.
Using grapefruit grove as the base layer of the flower and real red as the top layer with stamped off night of navy for the centres.

I’ve matted onto a piece of night of navy card. I embossed a piece of white card with the new tufted embossing folder and added real red ink over the top. I finished it off with a bow of striped real red ribbon.

I hope you like my project if you have any question please just ask.

Colour combo week 1: Beautiful bouquet

Hi

I’ve joined in with a colour combo challenge with some of the team I’m in.
Each week we will be given 3 colours to work with and we can also use any neutral colour too.
The first weeks challenge is pineapple punch, shaded spruce and pumpkin pie.
I used my colour swatch to put the colours together and thought oh eck how can I create anything with those colours.
This is what I came up with

I started with a whisper white thick card base A6 landscape.
I cut a mat of pumpkin pie card and embossed using the line folder rotating 90 degrees and embossing it again.
I cut a bouquet of flowers and stamped a sentiment in the shadede spruce and pineapple punch before cutting out layered ovals.
All that was needed finally was a small pineapple punch bow.

Colour combo week 2 : Pop of petals

Hi
I’ve joined in with a colour combo challenge with some others in our Stampin Up team this weeks colour combo is pineapple punch, old olive and early espresso.
I’ve used the Pop of petals and artisan textures stamp sets from Stampin up and I think this card is really zingy
I stamped the images in early espresso and punched out the flowers and leaves. Using sponge daunted I added more colour to the punched pieces and even used the texture stamps to the leaves.
I stamped a random textured background and glued the flowers and leaves down adding a faceted gem to the centres.
I matted and layered on to a very vanilla thick cardstock base standard A6 size.
Enjoy

Good morning. And the sun continues to shine isn’t it great.
Hi and welcome. Just a little catch up
With the launch of the new catalogue I took part in a paper share. This meant I got a piece of each of the new papers available right now. It was a great way to see it all and be able to use it in projects but for a fraction of the cost. It gave me a great insight into which papers I really needed more of and ones that are a little out of my craft zone.
With all these new papers I just had to start creating.

This what I started with. A petal pink card base and a night of navy mat embossed with the 3 d  layered leaves. And on top a piece of twinkle twinkle dsp. Then my mojo ran away. So for a couple of days this sat on my desk just waiting for that little guy to return.
This is what he came back with. I think it’s super cute. What do you think?

Now don’t be thinking you have to have all the papers but if there are a few that catch your eye then July’s offer is great: buy 3 dsp stacks and get a 4th free (selected ones only and only for July 2018)
That’s all for this week. Have a great week, enjoy the sun but stay safe.
