This is my first gift wrapped ready for Christmas.
I went to Julie Wades Craft retreat back in October and she taught us how to make a faux book, complete with a piece of decor.
Right now at my weekly class I am passing on this technique to my ladies, each one making a slightly different faux book. ( not enough dsp the same)
So as I have been buying and receiving my gifts ready for wrapping, one particular gift lent itself to be included in a faux book.
So here it is, I hope my niece is happy with here specially wrapped gift.

Hi
Just a quick mention that today was my 4th all day crafting event. Held at Tea on the Cobbles Newport Shropshire.
The day starts with and ends with cake. And in the middle we have jacket potatoes.
Oh and we fit a bit of crafting in.

Washi flower
Good Friday morning.
I’ve finally taken the wrapper off the new washi tape pressed petals from stampin up ( item 149585 £7.00)
I stamped a background using Artisan textures stamps (item 151278 £16.00) in Sahara sand ink onto very vanilla card mat ( 9cm x 13.8cm)
I’ve added a strip of Rococo rose card 9cm x 3cm that has been embossed using the script embossing folder ( item 149634 £9.25 note this is a 3D folder and may need slightly different sandwiches depending on your machine). I’ve stamped happy birthday from the magnolia blooms stamp set ( item 152729 £13) in rococo rose.
I’ve taken 5 petals from the washi and I stuck them onto a small circle of card ( the whole petal is sticky)
I attached the flower onto the card before attaching to a rococo rose card mat (14.3cm x 10cm)
A piece of rococo rose scalloped linen ribbon ( item number 149704 £7.50) was wrapped around both layers before attaching to the card.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little project. If you want further info please just leave me a comment. And for any orders please use my shop. Sorry I haven’t linked but item numbers are included and the shop has a great search. If you’d like a physical catalogue just ask and I’ll get one to you this is a valuable creative resource.
