When Sue launched this die set I just had to have it. I ordered mine from Joanna Sheen's site and it came within a couple of days.
You need the die set and various components. A handle, a foam insert and a treat cup. All items are linked to the gum ball die on Joanna's site.
Following Sues instructions on the packaging, which are really good, you can also watch Sue on youtube https://youtu.be/O2EH7wE_qjM
I added one of the accessory dies to the background.
My adjustments to the instructions are that I used the tray slot die to cut the refill hole in the back and extended it a little. I found that gave a better finish than me trying to cut a slot by hand.
I filled this one with tic tacs but I made another and filled with gum balls. I added a card stand to help it stand but it is quite thick so stands quite well without. For my second make (sorry no pictures) I made a box base for the back which covers the sides and therefore hides the foam core. It was fiddly so I will have another go but for that one I needed to post it off for my nephews birthday.
Sue is also demonstrating this on Hochanda today at 11am.
Have a great day
Donna
That's really good Donna! I watched Sue's demo on Hochanda yesterday - thought it looked a bit complicated. Very tempted to order! Sylvia x
ReplyDeleteThanks Sylvia. Go for it. It does take a little longer than a standard card but the dies do all the work. I picked up some great tips from Sue's show. And now I have a few more ideas.

I hope you don't mind, but I saw your blog link on CrossStitchForum and wanted to check it out. That's beautiful! I'm fairly new to blogging myself and love to see what everyone is working on. I'd love to see a "Follow" button on your blog so I can be notified of updates. It looks like you work on some fun things.
ReplyDeleteGood morning. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm very new to all this. I think if you are on the full web page, check at the bottom of the page. Then if you look at the right hand side by my profile should be a google button to follow
ReplyDeleteHope that helps
Donna
Oh wow, that is certainly something different Donna, but it looks fantastic, well done!
